Family Suites
Each floor of the Alchymist Nosticova Palace houses one Family Suite. The Family Suites are good-sized rooms of 45 square metres that can easily accommodate three adults or a family with children. All Family Suites feature a sitting area or a separate living room, a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. The Tycho de Brahe Family Suite on the First Floor is named after the Danish astronomer and alchemist who came to Bohemia in 1597 when invited by Emperor Rudolf II to become the official imperial astronomer. The Tycho de Brahe Family Suite has a separate living area and a bedroom. The living area features a wooden-beamed ceiling, whilst the bedroom has a painted, vaulted ceiling. This Family Suite offers views across the Vltava River, the Garden Restaurant and Kampa Park.
On the Second Floor, there is the Josef II Family Suite, which is named after the Habsburg ruler who ruled during the end of the 18th century; Josef II was a proponent of enlightened absolutism and quite committed to modernizing reforms. This Family Suite has a separate living space and a bedroom; in addition, the Family Suite offers views across the Vltava River, the Garden Restaurant and Kampa Park.
The Blanche of Valois Family Suite on the Third Floor is a beautiful, romantic room named after the first wife of Charles IV, who married him at the age of 7 in 1323. They started living as husband and wife in 1334 when Blanche came to join Charles IV in Prague, accompanied by her French entourage. The Blanche of Valois Family Suite has a separate bedroom and living space; between the rooms there is a bathroom with a bath, toilet and bidet. The Family Suite offers excellent views over the Vltava River, the Garden Restaurant and Kampa Park.
