Junior Suites at the Alchymist Residence Nosticova

Our six Junior Suites range in size from 32 to 38 square metres. All of our Junior Suites feature individual, interesting interior features and they are located on different floors of our boutique hotel.

The Junior Suites at Residence Nosticova feature either a king size bed (180 x 200 cm), a queensize bed (160 x 200 cm) or two twin beds (90 x 200 cm) on request. All suites are fully air conditioned with a LCD TV showing international channels, DVD and CD player, safes, mini-bars and high-speed internet access. Each junior suite has a spacious marble bathroom with a shower, bath and bidet.

The Junior Suites in our boutique hotel have been named after various historical figures: on the first floor we have Johannes Kepler, on the second floor we find Maria Theresa and Mozart, and on the third floor Casanova, Eliška Přemyslovna (Elizabeth of Bohemia) and Karlštejn.

The Johannes Kepler Junior Suite is named after the German mathematician, astrologist and astronomer. The brilliant mathematician came to Bohemia in 1600 to work with Tycho de Brahe, but he soon became the imperial mathematician. One of his duties was to provide astrological advice to the Emperor. This Junior Suite boasts beautifully decorated vaulted ceilings, a king size bed and a kitchenette.

The Maria Theresa Junior Suite is named after the only female Habsburg ruler who was in power for an impressive 40 years, and bore her husband an equally impressive number of children, 16. This suite is decorated in a sumptuous and elegant style, featuring rich, warm colours and a truly imperial mirror covering almost an entire wall. The room can be a twin or a double with a king size bed. You will have a lovely view of the river, our Garden Restaurant and Kampa Park.

The ingenious composer of the 18th century, Wolfang Amadeus Mozart does not need much introduction. His affinity with Prague is well known; he premiered his Don Giovanni here in 1787 with much success. The Mozart Junior Suite is located on the 2nd floor and features a king size bed, a kitchenette and a stucco ceiling.

The master of the art of seduction, Casanova, is also a man known to everyone, but maybe not everyone will know that he spent his last years in Bohemia as a librarian in Count Waldstein´s household, where he also wrote the story of his life. The Casanova Junior Suite features a lovely fireplace (for decoration only) and it can be either a twin or a double with a king size bed.

The Eliška Přemyslovna (Elizabeth of Bohemia) Junior Suite on the 3rd floor is a beautiful and spacious room with a kitchenette and view of the neighbouring house. The proud and quick-tempered Elizabeth of Bohemia married John of Luxembourg in 1310 at the age of 18, being 4 years his senior. Six years later she gave birth to Charles IV, the future King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor.

The last of our Junior Suites named after Karlštejn Castle, the Karlštejn Junior Suite, is situated on the 3rd floor. Sadly it does not serve as a place for the safekeeping of the Bohemian Crown Jewels, holy relics and other royal treasures like Karlštejn Castle; nevertheless it does feature some lovely interior decor, vaulted ceilings and stucco decorations.
